My curious look at Google results

Since upgrading S9Y and wondering as I do from time to time about its ranking, I did a quick check across Google Search Terms. Its a bit weird. Really.

The top search term is “Maugim” – expected, I have 21 emails to date from C.S. Lewis fans, it’ll get worse when the movie is released…shudder. The second threw me off – “aatraders”.

AATraders??? How do I rank 7th in a search results list for AATraders? I think this links back to the whole rant I made over the Alien Assault Traders forums being impossible to view from any Windows PC I can access. (I’ll figure out why next week when my Linux box is back in commission – HDD failure unfortunately). But why 7th? The mysteries of Google search results are beyond me… This is seemingly now a large driver to the blog for the last week or so. This is not an AATraders site…c’mon Google…get it right…

Third was “quantum star ss”, go figure but “ss” not “se” seems bigger. Must be all those German sites hosting QS, there seem to be 4 or 5 in total..;-)

Total page views was hitting around 200 per day. I guess someone does read this afterall…heh.

Comments Fixed – Its true, finally!

Comments to the blog are now fully enabled. The Spamblock plugin for Serendipity – used to stop the “texas holdem poker” type spam comments was inadvertantly blocking ALL comments. Thanks to Mjac for reporting when comments were disabled once more – all has been fixed, and everyone can now comment at will.

If anyone reading this is a PHP game developer with a blog, I’d appreciate you letting us know where to locate your RSS feed – trying to add in as many blogs of PHP game developers as possible (within reason and page length!).
